Benedikt Benagr

Benedikt Benagr is a Luton player in the plainest sense: born in the town, at the club since the Under-7 age group and brought through its academy. He joined at around the 2013/2014 season, when most children his age were still learning to play in teams.

He went up through the Under-18 and Under-21 sides, developing at the club from childhood, and the step into the senior squad followed that route. He has made four appearances for the Luton Town first team.

The club gave him his first professional contract on 22 October 2024, a little over a month after his 17th birthday. Since then he has stayed with Luton and has not been sent out on loan, so his football at senior level has been played in the club's own colours. Because he came through the academy, no transfer fee has ever been involved in his career.

Benagr has spelled his first name both as Benedikt and Benedict in different places. His story so far is a short one: a local boy, a long apprenticeship in the youth ranks, a professional contract at 17 and a handful of first-team games.
