Charles James Goode

Charlie Goode is a centre-back whose career is defined by steady work across multiple divisions. His journey began in the youth systems of Watford and Fulham before he moved into non-league football with Hendon. This foundation allowed him to transition into the EFL, joining Scunthorpe United in 2015. He made 85 appearances over several seasons.

The defining moment of his professional trajectory came when he joined Northampton Town. Initially arriving on loan in 2019, he signed permanently shortly after, playing a crucial role in helping the club win the League Two play-offs for promotion to League One. That success attracted Brentford, who signed him for a club-record fee of approximately £1 million in August 2020. His time at the London club was marked by a series of loan moves to Sheffield United, Blackpool, and Wigan Athletic.

In August 2024, Goode joined Stevenage on a free transfer. After spending time with the club, he moved to Milton Keynes Dons on a free transfer in June 2026. Despite the frequent changes of scenery, his consistency has been recognised at a higher level. He was named in the League One Team of the Season for the 2025/26 EFL Awards. Standing 196 cm tall, his physical attributes have served him well throughout his career.
