About the player
Collins Sichenje's route to Charlton ran through three different leagues before he had turned 23. The Kenyan defender started out at Green Commandos SC before AFC Leopards brought him in during 2019, though he managed only a single senior appearance there. A loan spell to PAOK B in 2021 produced no first-team football either, and he was back in Nairobi within months.
AIK signed him in April 2022, and a loan to KuPS in Finland's Veikkausliga the following year gave him 20 league appearances as the club finished as runners-up. FK Vojvodina took him on loan in July 2024, made the deal permanent that September for €400,000, and handed him a three-year contract. Sichenje went on to make 39 league appearances for the club, scoring once.
Charlton paid €2.2 million to sign him from Vojvodina in February 2026, on a contract running to June 2029. Vojvodina retained a 20% sell-on clause in the deal.
Internationally, Sichenje has earned eight caps for Kenya since making his debut in March 2021. His only goal for the national side came in a 5–0 World Cup qualification win over Seychelles in September 2025.
