About the player
Dominik Javorček spent the 2024–2025 season at Holstein Kiel, a club that went down from the Bundesliga while he was there. He arrived on loan from MŠK Žilina in August 2024 and played 13 league matches in Germany.
His route to that point was a long one inside Slovak football. He came through the youth ranks at Liešťany, Baník Prievidza and, from 2015, Žilina. He made his senior debut for Žilina in August 2020 and, in his first season, was part of the squad that reached the Slovak Cup final. Over the following years he played 64 times for the first team and scored five goals, and he also turned out for the club's B side.
Internationally, he has been a regular for Slovakia's Under-21 side, with more than 20 caps and two goals. He was nominated for the final tournament of the 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
In June 2025 he signed a contract with Slavia Prague running to 2029. The move then stalled. A serious knee injury in the 2025–2026 pre-season limited him to a single appearance for the club.
On 23 July 2026 Javorček was loaned to Bohemians 1905 for the 2026–2027 season. The loan was free, and he will play in the Czech First League, where he takes the number 37 shirt.
