Daniel Happe

Daniel Happe is a defender who has spent the majority of his professional career at Leyton Orient. Coming through the club’s youth system, he remained with the side until 2017, when he made his senior debut in a 3-0 defeat to Cambridge United. That same year, he was sent out on a brief loan to Histon, where he made two substitute appearances in the Southern League Division One Central.

His breakthrough came after he signed his first professional contract in October 2017. Happe’s height, standing 197 cm tall, has become a defining feature of his game. He continued to develop under the senior setup, earning extensions in July 2019 and June 2024. During his time at Leyton Orient, he was part of the squad that won the National League title in the 2018-19 season. That campaign also produced a runner-up finish in the FA Trophy, where the team lost 1-0 to AFC Fylde at Wembley Stadium.

Further success followed in the 2022-23 season, as Happe helped secure the EFL League Two title. On 1 July 2026, he moved to the Scottish Premiership club Aberdeen on a free transfer after his contract with Leyton Orient expired. Reports indicate he signed a two-year deal with an option for a third year.

Internationally, his career includes a single appearance for England C. He came on as a substitute in the 53rd minute in a 2-2 draw against Wales C at the Peninsula Stadium in Salford on 19 March 2019. No individual awards have been recorded for him.
