Danu Spătaru

Danu Spătaru, also known as Dan Spătaru, won his first trophies at the club where he learned the game. He came through the youth academy at Zimbru Chișinău and made his senior debut there in 2012. The Moldovan Cup followed for 2013–14, then the Moldovan Super Cup in 2014.

Later that year, on 15 November, he made his first appearance for the Moldova national team, against Liechtenstein. He went on to win 21 caps between 2014 and 2022 without scoring for the senior side.

His move abroad began with a loan at Astra Giurgiu in 2015. In February 2017 he joined Dinamo București permanently and collected the Cupa Ligii for the 2016–17 season. He left for Politehnica Iași that July.

He played in Russia for Pari NN and in Latvia for Liepāja. At Noah he won the Armenian Cup and the Armenian Supercup for 2019–20, then moved to Ararat-Armenia for 2020–21 before returning to Noah in 2022. Spells in Uzbekistan with AGMK and in Poland with Radunia Stężyca came afterwards. Between them he had several stints back home at Milsami Orhei.

In March 2026 he joined Neman Grodno on a free transfer, as he had done with most of his recent moves.
