Devante Lavon Andrew Cole

Devante Cole scored 16 goals in 53 appearances for Barnsley in 2022–23 and 18 in 49 the following season. Both totals made him the club's top scorer. The League One fans' Player of the Month award for March 2023 went to him.

Cole came through the youth system at Manchester City and made his senior debut in 2014. He was then loaned out, first to Barnsley and later to Milton Keynes Dons. With Milton Keynes he was part of the 2014–15 promotion from League One, scoring three goals in 14 appearances. A free transfer to Bradford City followed in August 2015, and Fleetwood Town signed him for an undisclosed fee in January 2016.

Wigan Athletic bought him in January 2018, and he was in the squad that won the League One title that season, although he made only six appearances, all as a substitute. Doncaster Rovers signed him in January 2020.

After leaving Doncaster he joined Motherwell on a free transfer in October 2020 and scored 12 goals in 31 appearances. He was named Player of the Month for March 2021, and Barnsley brought him back that June.

Cole was released by Barnsley in May 2024 and signed for West Bromwich Albion, where he made 14 appearances. He then joined Port Vale on a three-year deal and scored six times in 19 games in 2025–26. Luton Town signed him in January 2026.

He played for England at youth level from Under-16 to Under-19. In November 2023 he received his first call-up to the Jamaica senior squad, through his heritage.
