Eoin Kenny

Eoin Kenny left Dundalk for Portsmouth on 6 July 2026, signing a three-year contract with the EFL Championship club. Portsmouth activated a release clause to bring him in, and the fee was not disclosed. He was given squad number 32 and played in five pre-season friendlies.

Kenny came through at Dundalk, where he signed his first professional contract on 7 March 2023 and made his senior debut that same month. Later that year, in July, the club sent him on loan to Wexford. He played 10 league matches there and scored once, his first real run of senior football before he returned to Dundalk.

Back at Dundalk, he was part of the squad that won the 2024–25 Leinster Senior Cup. In June 2026 he was named League of Ireland Player of the Month, shortly before the move to England.

Kenny has worked his way up through the Northern Ireland age groups. He won two caps for the under-18s in 2022 and two for the under-19s in 2023. By the middle of 2026 he had eight caps and one goal for the under-21s.

The senior side then took notice. In September 2026 he was called up to the Northern Ireland squad for the matches against Guinea and France. He has yet to make his senior debut.
