Felipe Anderson

In July 2018 West Ham United paid a club-record fee to sign Felipe Anderson: around €38m, reported in England at £33.5m–35m. He had cost Lazio about €7.8m five years earlier.

Before any of that there was Santos . He came through the club's academy and was part of the first-team squad from 2010 to 2013, a spell that brought the Campeonato Paulista in 2011 and 2012, the Copa Libertadores in 2011 and the Recopa Sudamericana in 2012.

The West Ham years ran to 2021. He then went back to Lazio for a second spell, from 2021 to 2024.

Internationally, Felipe Anderson was in Brazil's under-23 squad at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and finished with a gold medal, though he was not a fixture in the side: he came off the bench in the semi-final against Honduras, a 6-0 win, and did not appear in the final against Germany. His senior record is short. He made his debut for Brazil in 2015 and has two caps, without scoring; the most recent came in 2019.

On 1 July 2024 he joined Palmeiras on a free transfer. In the 2024/25 season he won the Campeonato Paulista with the club — the same state championship he had lifted twice as a teenager on the coast.
