Findlay Marshall

Findlay Marshall is defined by his rapid climb through the ranks of Scottish football. His journey began at Dyce Boys Club before he joined the Aberdeen FC academy in 2017. He signed his first professional contract in September 2023, committing to the club until 2026. Marshall’s career has been shaped by a series of loan spells designed to build confidence. A stint at Edinburgh City saw him score three goals in fifteen appearances. He then moved to Cove Rangers, where he found his rhythm, scoring eight goals in thirty-one matches. These performances earned him two SPFL Team of the Week selections and a nomination for the PFA Scotland SPFL Young Player of the Year award. The most significant chapter came at Arbroath during the 2025–2026 season. Twelve goals in thirty-six apps helped the club reach the Scottish Premiership Promotion Playoffs. Marshall stated that playing in such a high-pressure environment was crucial for his mental strength. Internationally, he represents Scotland at youth levels. He has three caps for the U21 side and one for the U17s, including an appearance at the 2023 UEFA European Under-17 Championship. Aberdeen lost the 2024 Scottish Youth Cup Final to Rangers, a result that Marshall attributed to a lack of composure in the final moments. He has not yet made a senior debut for the national team.
