About the player
Hakeem Odoffin has won the EFL Trophy twice, with two different clubs. The first came with Rotherham United in 2021–22. The second came at Wembley Stadium on 12 April 2026, when he started at centre-back for Luton Town in a 3–1 win over Stockport County in the 2025–26 final.
Luton signed him as a free agent in July 2025. He arrived from Rotherham, where he had spent four seasons and finished the last of them, 2024–25, as both the Supporters' Player of the Year and the Players' Player of the Season. He then turned down a new contract and left when his deal expired in May 2025.
Odoffin was born in Barnet and spent his early years in academies, first at Tottenham Hotspur, then at Reading. He returned to Barnet, and made his professional debut for them in December 2015. He made no first-team appearances there, but he was loaned to Eastleigh for the 2016–17 season and played 21 times.
At Hamilton he signed a one-year contract in July 2020, and the club extended it in March 2021.
Odoffin has not played for any national side at youth or senior level. He holds English citizenship and is of Nigerian descent.
