About the player
Ibrahim Bah Mendes is a product of Lausanne's own academy system. Born in the city he now represents, he started out at Stade Lausanne-Ouchy before switching to the FC Lausanne-Sport academy in July 2024. There he moved up through the M19 and M21 sides, and it was at M21 level that he made his clearest mark: 48 appearances, 19 goals and 4 assists across two seasons.
That reserve spell, with FC Lausanne-Sport II in the Promotion League, doubled as his introduction to senior football. He made his first-team debut for Lausanne-Sport against BSC Young Boys, and signed his first professional contract soon after, tying him to the club into 2029. A right winger by trade, right-footed, he added his first senior goal against Grasshopper Club Zürich the following season.
To gain more regular football, he was sent on loan to FC Stade Nyonnais in the Challenge League, making 17 appearances and setting up two goals without finding the net himself. He holds both Swiss and Angolan nationality. There is no senior title or individual award on his record yet, and no confirmed youth international caps.
