Isaak James Davies

Isaak Davies spent a season in Belgium. Loaned from Cardiff City to K.V. Kortrijk in August 2023, he scored 12 goals in 34 league appearances and was named the club's Player of the Season for 2023–24. He then returned to Cardiff at the end of the campaign.

The route to that point began early. Davies joined the Cardiff academy at seven, in 2008, and stayed through the age groups. He signed his first professional contract in February 2021 and made his first-team debut on 23 October 2021 against Middlesbrough. A new deal followed in March 2022.

Outside interest arrived quickly. In August 2022, Burnley made a £2.5 million bid for him, which Cardiff rejected. He remained at the club and, a year later, went out on loan to Kortrijk.

For Wales he came through the youth ranks: three caps at under-17 level, five at under-19, one at under-20 and five at under-21. The senior call-up came in October 2025. He made his debut on 18 November 2025 in a 2026 World Cup qualifier against North Macedonia, which Wales won 7–1. He has two senior caps.

Davies has spent his senior career at a single club, apart from the Belgian loan, and has not yet won a major trophy. His individual honour so far is the Kortrijk award.
