Igor Kalinin

Igor Kalinin left Crimea for Ukrainian football as a teenager, joining the Illichivets Mariupol academy and making his senior debut for the club in 2012. Born in Kerch, he took Russian citizenship in 2014 and his path since has run almost entirely through Russian football. A right-footed defender who plays mainly at left-back but can also fill in at centre-back, he moved through Zorya Luhansk, Zirka Kropyvnytskyi and Volgar Astrakhan before Krasnodar signed him in 2018.

Rubin Kazan followed, and in June 2019 Dynamo Moscow paid €500,000 for him. A loan to Ural Yekaterinburg in February 2020 turned permanent the following year when Ural triggered the purchase option, and in June 2021 Rostov paid €600,000 to bring him in. He never settled at Rostov, however: within a year he was loaned out to Fakel Voronezh, a loan later extended through the 2024–25 season, during which he made 53 league appearances.

Kalinin's career since has been defined by movement rather than silverware. He has gone without a major trophy at any of his clubs, and despite saying he would welcome a call-up, he has never been capped by the senior Russian national team. In September 2025 he left Russia for Greece, joining Panserraikos on a free transfer.
