About the player
Jacek Czapliński has spent much of his career moving between two countries. Born in Schwedt/Oder, on the German side of the border, he began in youth football at VfB Pommern Löcknitz in 2015. A year later, in 2016, he joined the youth academy of Pogoń Szczecin in Poland.
The path was not a straight one. In the winter of the 2017/18 season he went back to Germany to play for Greifswalder FC, then returned to Pogoń in 2018. In 2021 he moved to FC Stätzling, and in 2022 to Niendorfer TSV, where he stayed until 2023. That year he came back to Pogoń's youth setup for a third time.
The return paid off quickly. In the 2024/25 season he stepped up to Pogoń Szczecin II, the club's second team, and in 2025 he made his debut for the senior side.
Czapliński is a midfielder who is often used on the left, either as a winger or as a left midfielder, even though he is right-footed.
He is still at the start of his senior career, and the first-team appearances that followed his 2025 debut are the part of it still being written.
