About the player
Paul Mukairu had his most productive season on loan at Boluspor in Turkey, where he scored seven goals and set up twelve in 34 appearances. One night stood out: a 7–0 win over Adanaspor, in which he scored once and provided three assists.
He came through the FC Hearts Academy in Nigeria before moving to Turkey to join Antalyaspor's youth setup in 2019. He made his professional debut for the club that same year. Loans followed. In 2020–21 he was at Anderlecht in Belgium, where he played 25 games and scored twice.
In January 2022 Antalyaspor sold him to FC Copenhagen, reportedly for around €1.9 million. He won the Danish Superliga in 2021–22 and again in 2022–23, and the Danish Cup in 2022–23. In 2023–24 he went to England on loan at Reading, making 31 appearances and scoring three goals, before the Boluspor spell that followed.
His contract in Copenhagen expired in the summer of 2025. On 2 July he signed with Pogoń Szczecin on a two-year deal with an option for a third. The Ekstraklasa has been his steadiest stretch in front of goal: eight goals in 34 league matches in 2025–26. One of them got Pogoń over the line in a 1–0 win over Arka Gdynia in February 2026.
