About the player
Jordan Clark has gone up a division with three different clubs. Luton won the EFL Championship play-offs in 2023, and Clark was instrumental in the club's rise.
He came through the Barnsley academy, where he was named Most Promising Academy Player for 2009–10. His first professional contract followed in March 2011. Loan spells at Chesterfield, Scunthorpe United and Hyde United filled much of the gap before he left in 2014.
Shrewsbury Town signed him on a free transfer in July 2014, and the move brought a first promotion, through the League Two play-offs in 2014–15. Shrewsbury also voted his October 2014 strike their Goal of the Month.
Accrington Stanley signed him, again on a free transfer, in August 2016. He won the League Two title with them in 2017–18, which took the club up to League One. The following season he was named Accrington's Player of the Season.
Luton Town signed him on a free transfer in August 2020. Three years later came the play-off success. His most decorated season there was 2024–25, when he collected the club's Player of the Season award and the Players' Player of the Season award. He also won Luton's Goal of the Season.
Clark has not been capped by England at any level.
