Josh Knight

Josh Knight was named Wycombe Wanderers' Player of the Season for 2020–21, a year he spent on loan from Leicester City after joining in October 2020.

Leicester was where his football began. He started at Fleckney Athletic and moved into the Leicester City academy in 2005, aged eight. He stayed in the youth system for more than a decade and signed his first professional contract in September 2015, when he turned 18. In August 2017 he was handed his first-team debut.

Regular senior football came through loans. He spent the first half of the 2018–19 season at Peterborough United and returned there for a second spell that ran from August 2019 to August 2020. In December 2018, while still with Leicester, he was named Premier League 2 Player of the Month.

The Wycombe loan was the last of them. In September 2021 he left Leicester on a free transfer and signed for Hannover 96, where he spent two seasons.

In August 2023 he returned to England and joined Portsmouth on a permanent deal. The fee was not disclosed, and he signed a three-year contract.
