About the player
Kayky Almeida came through Fluminense's academy after being spotted at a seven-a-side tournament on Ilha do Governador at the age of nine, starting out in futsal before moving onto the pitch. He made his first-team debut for Fluminense on 21 January 2024, and later that year, he was sold to Watford for around €1 million, with the Brazilian club keeping a 20% sell-on interest. He never played a competitive senior match for Watford, appearing only four times for the club's under-21 side.
Fluminense brought him back in January 2025, reacquiring half of his rights, before sending him out on loan to Clube do Remo for the Série B campaign in the middle of the year. That loan was cut short in July 2026, and he moved on to Sport Recife, again on loan from Fluminense.
He was part of Fluminense's squad for the 2023 Copa Libertadores, which the club won, and for the Campeonato Carioca title the same year, though he did not feature in the continental competition itself.
