About the player
Kristian Chachev came through two of Sofia's biggest youth academies before he signed for a third club in the city. His first stop was CSKA Sofia, where he played for the under-15s in the 2020–2021 season. He then crossed to Levski Sofia and spent two years with their under-17 side, from 2021 to 2023.
The move that shaped his career came on 1 July 2023, when he left Levski for Lokomotiv Sofia 1929. It was a free transfer, as were his earlier moves between academies. Lokomotiv have been his club since, and he is a midfielder who uses his right foot.
The 2025–2026 season took him away from the capital for the first time. Chachev went on loan to Sportist 2009 in Svoge, a club in the Vtora Liga, the Bulgarian second tier. The loan was registered on 29 January 2026, and he was part of the Sportist squad for that campaign. Sportist ended the season 13th in the league table.
For Chachev, the spell in Svoge was his first experience of that level, after a youth career spent entirely in Sofia.
