About the player
Kristóf Sarkadi's first senior goal came off the bench: in the fourth round of the NB II he came on for BVSC-Zugló and scored against Békéscsaba. It was one of the early marks of a season spent on loan away from Újpest.
He joined the Újpest academy in 2018 and worked through its age groups. Before the loan he played for the reserve side, Újpest II, in the NB III Northwest. His first taste of the top flight was brief: one NB I appearance in 2024/2025, lasting 15 minutes.
In July 2025 Újpest sent him to BVSC-Zugló of the NB II for the 2025/2026 season, so that he could get regular first-team football. The loan was free of charge. He made 19 appearances for the club and played 1,436 minutes. He scored one goal and set up three.
The loan did not cut him off from Újpest. In the same season he made four NB I appearances for them, 238 minutes in all. In February 2026, aged 18, he signed his first professional contract with the club.
