About the player
Born in Kerteminde, Denmark, he holds Danish and American citizenship, and in August 2023 he switched from Denmark's youth teams to the US senior side. He made his debut on 9 September 2023 against Uzbekistan and later was part of the squad that won the 2023–24 CONCACAF Nations League. He was also named in the group for the 2024 Copa América.
His route to that point ran through Midtjylland, where he came through the academy after starting at his hometown club, Kerteminde IF. He made a single first-team appearance for Midtjylland in 2020/21. A short-lived move to Esbjerg fB in April 2021 produced no competitive games, and he left that August.
The breakthrough came in Sweden. He joined BK Häcken in August 2021 and became a regular starter at left-back. In 2022 Häcken won the Allsvenskan, his first league title, and the club added the Svenska Cupen in 2022/23. He played 59 times for the club.
In August 2023 Palermo signed him for a reported €2.7 million. He made 68 appearances for the Sicilian club before leaving in the summer of 2025.
That August he moved to 1. FC Köln on a season-long loan, with an option to make the deal permanent.
