About the player
Lewis Dobbin came through the Everton academy, which he joined in 2014, and made his senior debut for the club in September 2021 as a substitute against Norwich City. His career since has been defined by a string of loans. The first came at Derby County in the 2022–23 season, where he scored his first senior goal, in the EFL Trophy against Mansfield Town.
In June 2024, Aston Villa paid a reported fee in the region of £9m–£10m for him. Instead, successive loan spells followed: West Bromwich Albion, then Norwich City, and most recently Preston North End, where he wears the number 17 shirt.
Internationally, Dobbin has represented England at youth level, featuring for the under-16s, under-17s and under-19s, scoring regularly at the two younger age groups in particular.
