Lucas Mbamba

Lucas Mbamba made his professional debut for Westerlo on 2 November 2025 against Genk, the club where he had spent his youth career until 2020. Since then, the right-back has established himself as a regular in Westerlo's Pro League side.

Mbamba left Genk's academy for Club Brugge, where he developed between 2020 and 2022, before moving on to Lille. There he progressed through the under-19 side and, from July 2023, the reserve team, Lille OSC B, where he made seven appearances in 2025. In July 2025 he returned to Belgium, signing for Westerlo on a four-year contract that runs until June 2029.

At international level, Mbamba has represented Belgium across the youth ranks, with caps for the under-16, under-18 and under-19 teams, the latter including qualifying matches for the European Under-19 Championship. He has yet to add an under-21 appearance to that record.
