Maksim Mukhin

Maksim Mukhin came through football in Tolyatti under coach Oleg Skorobogatov before moving on to the Yuri Konoplyov Football Academy in Dimitrovgrad and then into the Krylia Sovetov Samara youth ranks. In 2019 he relocated to Moscow to join the Lokomotiv academy, spending time out on loan at the farm club Lokomotiv-Kazanka, where he scored once in ten appearances in the Russian Second League. He made his senior Lokomotiv Moscow debut in the Russian Premier League in November 2020 and won the Russian Cup with the club the following season, along with a bronze medal in the league.

In May 2021 Mukhin moved to CSKA Moscow on a five-year contract. He was part of a CSKA side that won the Russian Cup twice, in 2022–23 and 2024–25, and he collected a silver medal in the league in 2022–23 and a bronze in 2024–25. In the 2025–26 season he went out on loan to FC Sochi, where he made 20 appearances and scored once. His contract with CSKA was ended by mutual agreement in June 2026, and he joined Rostov as a free agent on a three-year deal.

Mukhin has also represented Russia at senior level, making his international debut as a substitute against Slovenia in World Cup qualifying in March 2021. He was named in Russia's squad for Euro 2020 and came off the bench in all three of the side's group-stage matches, against Belgium, Finland and Denmark. He has also featured for the Russian under-21 side.
