About the player
Mihael Alexandru Onișa left Romania as a teenager, moving from ACS Poli Timișoara to Italy to join the Virtus Entella academy, and from there into Torino's youth system. At Torino he never made a senior appearance for the first team, but his Primavera side lifted the Italian Supercoppa Primavera in the 2019–2020 season.
Cavese took him on loan first, then Imolese, before Pordenone signed him permanently on a three-year deal.
Joining Ceahlăul Piatra Neamț as a free agent, Onișa made 24 appearances and scored once. That form carried into his move to FC Voluntari, where he has made 36 appearances and scored twice, with his contract running to 2028.
A left-footed defender capable of playing at left-back or in midfield, Onișa has yet to add a senior cap for Romania to his career.
