About the player
Maciej Wojciechowski made his Ekstraklasa debut for Pogoń Szczecin in September 2024. It came in the same month as his first appearance for Poland's Under-18s.
He was born in Wągrowiec and grew up in Poznań football. He spent six years at Lech Poznań, from 2015 to 2021, then a year at Reissa Poznań. Pogoń took him into their academy in 2022, and he came through the club's own system to the senior squad for the 2024/25 season.
That season he divided his time between the first team and Pogoń Szczecin II. For the reserves he played 20 matches and scored once. In August 2025 he signed a two-year contract with the club.
In February 2026 he moved to ŁKS Łódź of the First League on loan for the rest of the 2025/26 season. The arrangement was a free loan, with no obligation or option for ŁKS to buy him.
His international career has followed the age groups. After the Under-18 debut he moved up to the Under-19s, and by November 2025 he had won nine caps at that level. They included UEFA U19 Euro 2026 qualifying matches against Moldova and Italy. He has not yet played for the senior national team.
