Marat Bokoev

Marat Bokoev's path to the Russian Premier League ran through the amateur game. He started out with Avtodor Vladikavkaz and Pishchevik Beslan before Spartak Vladikavkaz took him on a free transfer in August 2019, where he scored once in five appearances in the Second League. A year later he moved to Krasnyy SGAFTKST, then in February 2021 joined Kazanka Moscow, Lokomotiv Moscow's reserve side, for a fee of €12,000.

Kazanka proved a turning point. Bokoev made 23 appearances and scored five goals across two seasons there, and was part of the squad that took bronze in the Second Division in 2021/22. That form earned him a free move to FC Veles Moscow in July 2022, where he made 27 appearances in the First League (FNL) the following season.

Bokoev joined Akron Tolyatti on a free transfer in August 2023, and it was there that his career gathered pace. He made 16 FNL appearances and scored once as Akron won bronze in the First League and secured promotion to the Russian Premier League. He has since established himself at the top level, making 17 appearances and scoring a goal in the 2024/25 Premier League season, and has added seven more appearances in the current campaign.
