Vitali Gudiev

Vitali Gudiev came through the youth system at Alania Vladikavkaz and made his first-team debut in the First Division at sixteen, reaching the Russian Premier League a year later. A penalty save against Zenit Saint Petersburg during those early years at Alania remains a notable moment from that spell.

In February 2014 he moved to Terek Grozny, later renamed Akhmat, on a free transfer and signed a four-year contract. He made 44 Premier League appearances, with a loan spell at the reserve side Terek-2 along the way. He was part of the Akhmat squad that reached the 2016 Russian Cup final, though he did not feature in the match itself.

Spells at Khimki and then Fakel Voronezh followed, both on free transfers. At Fakel he was named Match of the Round player twice, for a goalless draw against CSKA and for a goalless draw against Akhmat. In June 2025 Akron Tolyatti paid a transfer fee for him for the first time in his career, and he signed a three-year contract. He has kept up the same level at Akron, ranking among the league's top five goalkeepers for save percentage and picking up further Match of the Round honours for performances against Pari NN and Lokomotiv.

That form brought a first call-up to the Russian national team in November 2025, for friendlies against Peru and Chile. He was named in the squad for both matches but did not get off the bench.
