Mateusz Łęgowski

Mateusz Łęgowski made his Poland debut in the UEFA Nations League against the Netherlands on 22 September 2022. He came on in the 86th minute. It remains his only senior cap for the national side, and he has not scored for it.

The route to that night began in Brodnica, where he played for Gol Brodnica as a boy. He then moved to the academy of Pogoń Szczecin, and the club's youth system shaped him for the rest of his early career. During that period he also had a loan spell at Valencia CF. He played for Pogoń's second team before joining the senior squad in 2021, and he stayed with the first team until 2023.

The biggest step came in August 2023, when Salernitana signed him for a reported fee of about €3 million. In September 2024 he was loaned to Yverdon-Sport in Switzerland, so part of the 2024–25 season was spent away from Salernitana.

Salernitana's relegation to Serie C changed his situation. On 1 September 2025 he and the club agreed to end his contract by mutual consent. Eight days later, on 9 September, he signed for Eyüpspor as a free agent, giving him a new start in Turkey.

Łęgowski is a midfielder who has moved through several countries in a short time. His career so far runs from a small Brodnica club to Poland's top flight, then Italy, Switzerland and Turkey.
