Matteo Dutu

Matteo Duțu was born in Rome and could have played for Italy, but chose Romania's youth setup instead — where he has collected 11 caps in the qualifying rounds for the 2027 European Under-21 Championship. His development ran through Lazio's academy for well over a decade before Milan bought him for a modest fee in the summer of 2024.

At Milan he settled at Milan Futuro, the club's reserve side in Serie C, making his senior debut against Legnago in October 2024. He grew into the group quickly enough to be handed the captain's armband for the 2025–26 season, and his name was also included among the substitutes for the Supercoppa Italiana against Napoli, even if he did not get on the pitch.

The transfer to Dinamo, agreed in January 2026, was structured rather than straightforward: the Romanian club took on half of his economic rights for a fee reported at around €500,000 including bonuses, while Milan kept a buy-back option that can be triggered in either of the following two summers. Duțu signed a contract running until 2029. He now wears the number 30 shirt at 1.92 metres tall.
