About the player
Miron Mucsányi was recalled by Újpest in January 2026, halfway through a loan at Diósgyőr. He had joined Diósgyőr in July 2025 and played seven league games and one cup tie. He also had a short spell with the club's second team that year.
He grew up in Budapest football. He started at Grund 1986, where he stayed from 2011 to 2015, and then spent seven years in the MTK youth system, from 2015 to 2022. Újpest brought him in for the 2022–23 season, and in 2023 he moved up to the senior squad.
His first year of senior football was with Újpest II. He made 34 appearances there and scored twice. That work in the reserves led to his first-team debut in 2024–25, when he played four times for Újpest.
Regular minutes came on loan. During that 2024–25 season he went to BVSC Zugló, where he played 19 games in the Nemzeti Bajnokság II and scored once.
Diósgyőr was the next step, and the recall in January 2026 brought the loan to an end.
He is a right-footed midfielder and has played for Hungary at youth level.
