Paulo Moreno

Quincy Owusu-Abeyie came through the Ajax youth system and left Amsterdam for Arsenal in 2004 for a reported fee of about £1.5 million. The Ghanaian forward, who can also play as a winger, is left-footed.

At Arsenal he was sent out on loan twice: to VVV-Venlo in 2005 and to Sparta Rotterdam in 2006. In July 2007 he moved to Spartak Moscow, a transfer reported at €6 million.

Cardiff came in January 2009, when Spartak loaned him to the club for the rest of the 2008–09 season. He made five appearances for Cardiff City.

After Cardiff he spent much of the next three years on loan. He played for Celta Vigo in 2009–10, Birmingham City in 2010–11 and Portsmouth in 2011–12. He then left Spartak Moscow for good. In January 2012 he joined Al-Sadd on a permanent deal, reported at €1.5 million.

His later career took him through Greece, Spain, the Middle East and back to the Netherlands. Panathinaikos took him on loan for 2012–13. Málaga signed him permanently for a reported €2 million and he stayed for the 2013–14 season. He then played for Al-Ahli in 2014–15 and Al-Shaab in 2015–16. His last club was FC Amsterdam, where he played in 2016–17 before retiring in 2017.

Born in Amsterdam, he ended his career in the city where it began, some thirteen years after leaving Ajax for London.
