Rob Schoofs

Rob Schoofs began his career at Sint-Truiden, coming through the club from 2010 to 2016 before a €1.0 million move took him to KAA Gent. He spent little more than a year at Gent before joining KV Mechelen for the same fee on 5 July 2017. At Mechelen he took the captain's armband, went on to make more than 200 appearances, and helped the club up from the second tier by winning the Belgian First Division B title, adding the Belgian Cup in the same 2018–19 season. Over his years there he built a habit of scoring against Club Brugge, ending up the leading scorer in that particular fixture during his time at the club.

Schoofs left Mechelen in September 2025, moving to Union Saint-Gilloise for a reported €1.4 million. The switch has already paid off: Union won the Belgian Cup in the 2025–26 season with Schoofs in the squad. He also has a single cap for the Belgium under-21 side, though senior international recognition has not followed.
