About the player
Robert Deziel Jr. was nine years old when he left the United States to join Real Madrid's academy. After spells at Unión Adarve and Celta Vigo, he moved into the Bayern Munich academy in 2020, and by the 2023–24 season the Bundesliga's own website had picked him out as one of the club's top prospects.
His path to Bayern Munich II's first team ran through a two-year loan at VSG Altglienicke in the Regionalliga Nordost. He made just six league appearances in his first season there, but the following campaign he was a regular, playing 27 league matches and starting in the Berlin Cup semi-final against Berliner FC Dynamo, a match VSG lost and in which he was sent off. Only after returning from that loan did he break into Bayern Munich II itself, making 28 appearances and scoring four goals in the Regionalliga Bayern in 2025–26.
In June 2026, Deziel Jr. signed a four-year contract with Legia Warszawa on a free transfer. He made his official debut on 24 July 2026 in an Ekstraklasa win over Pogoń Szczecin, playing 88 minutes.
At youth international level, he scored on his debut for the United States under-15s against Russia in October 2019. He was later called into under-17 and under-19 setups without adding to his caps at those levels, and has not yet been called up to the senior USMNT squad.
