About the player
Scott Wright scored a hat-trick for Aberdeen against Partick Thistle in May 2017. He made his senior debut in July 2014.
A loan at Dundee in January 2019 brought three goals in 13 league appearances. In February 2021 Rangers signed him for £175,000, and the move put him in a squad that won the Scottish Premiership in 2020–21. He went on to make 120 appearances for the club and scored 12 goals. Two more trophies followed: the Scottish Cup in 2021–22 and the Scottish League Cup in 2023–24. He started the 2022 UEFA Europa League Final.
In August 2024 he joined Birmingham City. The team won the EFL League One title in 2024–25, and Wright was part of that side.
In February 2026 he returned to Dundee on loan for the rest of the 2025–26 season. He scored once in nine league appearances up to April.
For Scotland he has played at U17, U19, U20 and U21 levels. With the U20 side he won a bronze medal at the 2017 Toulon Tournament. He has not yet won a senior cap.
