Ygor Nogueira de Paula

Nogueira came through the academy at Fluminense, where he captained the youth side to the Campeonato Brasileiro Sub-20 title in 2015 and led the club at the Al Kass Cup Sub-18 in Doha, reaching the final against PSG. That pedigree brought call-ups to the Brazil under-20 and under-23 squads, though a senior cap never followed. His breakthrough at Fluminense's first team came on 28 November 2015 against Internacional under Eduardo Baptista, and he scored his first professional goal in March 2017 against Madureira in the Campeonato Carioca. A brief loan to KAA Gent produced only a single Belgian Cup appearance, and later loans to Figueirense and CRB brought mixed returns — regular football in the first case, none at all in the second.

His move to Gil Vicente in 2019 opened a longer stretch in Portugal, followed by a switch to Mazatlán FC in Mexico and a loan back to Brazil with Juventude. Spells at Santa Clara and GD Chaves followed before he returned to Portugal's top flight, but it was at Sabah FK in Azerbaijan, signed in August 2024, that his career gathered pace. He won the Azerbaijan Cup in consecutive seasons and added the Azerbaijan Premier League title in 2025–26, contributing 47 league appearances and four goals along the way.

That form led to a free transfer to FC Rostov in July 2026 on a two-year deal, bringing a defender with experience across five countries to the Russian club.
