Yuriy Zheleznov

Yuriy Zheleznov moved through a string of Moscow academies as a teenager — Chertanovo, Spartak, Rubin Kazan and Zenit Saint Petersburg — before making his professional debut with Saturn Ramenskoye in February 2020. He left the club by mutual consent the following year and signed for Ural Yekaterinburg on a free transfer in June 2021. A loan spell took him to Krasnodar-2 for the 2023/2024 season, but he returned to Ural.

He made 31 appearances for Ural in the Russian First League, scoring four goals and setting up five more across 29 league outings. In July 2026 he left Ural for FC Akron Togliatti on a four-year contract, a deal reported by Metaratings and Sports.ru to have been settled at around 40 million roubles after Ural had rejected an initial offer of 35 million. The move was not straightforward: reports suggested Zheleznov refused to play for Ural in the opening match of the 2026/27 season in order to force the transfer through.

Internationally, Zheleznov has represented Russia only at youth level. He won three caps for the Russia Under-18 side, debuting in September 2019 and featuring at the L'Algarve Cup that same month. He added two appearances for the Under-21 team in September 2022, debuting against Belarus.
