The furthest Aliağa FAŞ has taken a season came in 2023-24, when the club finished second in TFF 3. Lig Group 2 on 47 points and went into the promotion play-offs. A 1-0 first-leg defeat to 52 Orduspor left them needing something in the return fixture; they held out for a scoreless draw, but the tie went to penalties in the semi-final.

The club carries the name Aliağa Futbol A.Ş. and has been playing since 2014, wearing red and white. It now competes in the TFF 2. Lig at the Aliağa Şehir Stadyumu, a 3,000-seat ground in the İzmir province town it is named for.
