Balcatta

Balcatta sits among Perth's northern suburbs. In 1977 a group of friends, many of them immigrants from Ucria in Sicily, formed the club and named it Etna. The club joined the Soccer Federation of Western Australia that year and played its first season in 1978, finishing fifth.

The name has not stayed still. It was Balcatta Etna until 1993, then Balcatta Soccer Club until 2012, then simply Balcatta FC for the following decade, before the board reverted to Balcatta Etna on 30 November 2021.

Balcatta has played at Grindleford Reserve since 1985, having started out at Reader Reserve in Mount Yokine. The women's team has its own high point, taking the Women's Premier League title in 2018 and reaching the State Cup final again in 2021, where MUM FC beat them 2–0.

The 2025/26 campaign gave the club little to build on: Balcatta finished bottom of the twelve-team NPL WA table and drops back into State League Division 1.
