Kalju Nõmme

Nõmme Kalju's biggest season came in 2018, when the club won the Meistriliiga without losing a single match, a title added to the one claimed in 2012. Two Estonian Cups have followed the same pattern of years apart: a 2-0 final win over Paide Linnameeskond in 2014-15, then a penalty shootout against Levadia. The Super Cup went the same way, taken from Levadia 3-2 in 2019 and from Flora 3-1 in 2026.

Some of that run has carried individual names with it. Aleks Matias Tamm, an academy graduate, top-scored in the Estonian league in 2024 with 28 goals. Hidetoshi Wakui, a Japanese forward on the books between 2011 and 2016, scored 74 goals. Joel Lindpere, capped 107 times for Estonia, turned out for Kalju in 1997 and again in 2015, when the side won that first cup. Brazilian forward Liliu's 31 goals in the 2018 campaign still stand as a single-season club record.

Matches are played at Hiiu Stadium, which holds 570 people.

The club traces back to 1923, when Aleksander Schneider and Mart Liiv set up a football section inside the Kalju sports club in the Nõmme district of Tallinn. It did not survive the decade that followed intact — closed under Soviet occupation in 1940, briefly restarted under German occupation, then gone for good in 1944 after the clubhouse was destroyed.
