OFK Beograd

Belgrade derbies rarely include OFK, and that has always been part of the club's identity: overshadowed by Partizan and Red Star, both formed decades after it, OFK carries the name of the city itself while the two giants carry crowds. Where Red Star and Partizan built rivalries on scale, OFK's stood on precedence — it was already champion of Yugoslavia before either existed.

That championship history traces to BSK, founded in Belgrade in 1911. The club survived the country that named it more than once: dissolved in 1945 and rebuilt as Metalac, restored to the BSK name in 1950, then merged with TSK Šumadija in 1957 to form OFK Beograd as it stands now. Five Yugoslav titles came under the BSK name, the last in the 1938–39 season, and five Yugoslav Cups followed across the 1950s and 60s.

Saša Čurčić and Aleksandar Kolarov both passed through the club, but it is Branislav Ivanović whose career says the most about what OFK has become: a producer of talent that leaves. He went on to captain Serbia and win the Champions League and European Championship with Chelsea, and his path — schooled at OFK, made elsewhere — is the one the club has repeated more often than it has kept its best players.

A domestic title did return, in the 2023–24 Serbian First League, decades after the last Yugoslav crown. Continental football has visited only rarely: a Cup Winners' Cup semi-final in 1962–63, ended by Tottenham.

The Omladinski stadion holds 19,100, though OFK has not always been able to use it — matches have been played instead at the Football Association's ground in Stara Pazova, a temporary arrangement for a temporary home, before returning to Belgrade.
