Radomlje

Radomlje is a village in the Domžale municipality and the football club that carries its name spent most of its life in the lower reaches of Slovenian football before it had any reason to leave home.

The climb was slow and it went step by step. Each promotion carried the same problem with it: Športni park Radomlje held 1,200, which is fine for the fourth tier and nowhere near enough for the top flight.

So the club moved down the road. Home matches in the 1. SNL are played at Športni park Domžale, the ground of the side that has been Radomlje's sharpest opponent — the fixture between them is known locally as the municipal derby, and for one of the two it is not really an away trip at all. The old ground in Radomlje was demolished in 2024 and the site is now used for training.

Dragan Čadikovski is the name most often attached to the club's top-flight years. He scored 52 goals in 186 first-division appearances and later came back to coach, which is a rarer sort of continuity at a club this size than a longer honours list would be. Ivan Vukomanović now takes the first team.

The yellow and black have never won a national championship, and the trophies in the cabinet are second-tier titles and Ljubljana regional cups. What the club has instead is a top-division place held from a village of a few thousand people, in a stadium that seats 3,100.
