SJK Seinajoki

OmaSP Stadion , the 5,817-seat ground the club moved into in 2016, replaced the Seinäjoen keskuskenttä.

The club did not grow out of a single town side but out of two that gave themselves up for it: on 5 November 2007, TP-Seinäjoki and Sepsi-78 both surrendered their places in the third-tier Kakkonen so that a new, unified club could take their place. A fan competition settled the name, Seinäjoen Jalkapallokerho, over the working title Seinäjoki Futis, and the club was formally registered as an association on 22 January 2008.

The 2015 championship remains the high point, but the seasons around it carry their own weight. SJK had already won the League Cup in 2014, beating VPS 1-0, and took the Finnish Cup in 2016 before losing the following year's final to HIK. Cedric Gogoua was voted the league's best defender in 2014 on his way to Partizan. Mehmet Hetemaj, a long-serving Finland international, spent 2015 and 2016 at the club.

Home games against Vaasan Palloseura carry the label Pohjanmaan derby, the two clubs being the standard-bearers of the Ostrobothnia region. Raimo Sarajärvi, the property entrepreneur behind the Kotijoukkue and Gapcon chains, owns and chairs the club and sits as vice-president of the Veikkausliiga itself. Behind all of it sits the arrangement that made the club possible: two teams giving up their own league places so a third could exist.
