Ternana Women

Ternana Women are a Serie A side now. They earned the place by winning Serie B in 2024–25, the first promotion to the top flight the club has managed. They play in Narni, in a ground that holds about 1,000, and have gone across to the Stadio Libero Liberati in Terni when a fixture called for more room.

The club is young. It began in 2020 as the women's section of Ternana Calcio, started in Eccellenza and reached Serie C for 2020–21. In June 2022 it bought the sporting title of Pink Sport Time, which took it into Serie B for 2022–23. Three seasons later it was champion of that division.

Fabio Melillo coached the side until his death in July 2024, a few weeks before the promotion season began. The players dedicated the title to him. Valeria Pirone scored 17 goals that year. Marika Massimino became the first player from the club to be called up to the senior Italian national team.

Ternana wear red and green and go by Le Fere , "the Beasts". The rivalry that matters most is with Perugia, the other big name in Umbria, and the two meet in the Derby dell'Umbria.
