Trelleborgs FF

The biggest trophy in Trelleborgs FF's cabinet is the UEFA Intertoto Cup, won in 1994. In the 1994–95 UEFA Cup, the team from southern Sweden knocked out Blackburn Rovers, with Fredrik Sandell scoring the away goal. Supporters and the Swedish press turned the club's name into Skrälleborg , and the name has stuck ever since.

That success came at the top of the club's best stretch. Trelleborgs FF finished 3rd in Allsvenskan in 1992 and 4th in 1993, having won Division 1 Södra, the third tier, in 1991.

Benny Mårtensson is the figure who runs through the club's history. He holds the records for appearances and goals, 497 and 290, so his career covers much of what the club has been. Mats Lilienberg scored 33 Allsvenskan goals, the most for the club in the top flight.

Since the 1990s the team has moved between divisions rather than settled in one. Relegations came in 2001, 2004, 2011, 2018 and 2025. Each was followed at times by a return: promotion in 2003, then the Superettan title in 2006, and another promotion in 2017 after the Division 1 Södra title of 2015. The Svenska Cupen has never gone to Trelleborg.

Malmö FF, the nearest big club, are the rivals, and the two meet in the Southwestern Scania Derby. The women's team reached Damallsvenskan in 2024 and went straight back down to Elitettan.
