The Estadio Olímpico de la UCV stands on Avenida Los Mangos, on the campus of the Universidad Central de Venezuela, and the team that plays in it is UCV.

The club took its present name on 1 January 1950, having spent the three years before that as Deportivo Universitario Venezuela, and before that, back in 1925, having started life as Club Universitario de Deportes.

Their first titles came quickly and then stopped.

They came back in 2025, when UCV won the Apertura of the Liga FUTVE.

The stadium itself has shrunk since the players who won those amateur titles used it.

Between the 1953 championship and the one they won last year, the club went almost 70 years without a domestic title.
