Bangladesh Cricket League 2022/23

The Bangladesh Cricket League operates as a domestic cricket competition in the country, organized by the Bangladesh Cricket Board. It sits in the domestic pyramid as a secondary first-class tournament, distinct from the National Cricket League, which remains the traditional divisional first-class competition. The league functions as a franchise-based zonal structure featuring four teams: South Zone, Central Zone, East Zone, and North Zone. These squads are assembled from players drafted from the divisions represented in the National Cricket League.

The format has varied over time; it primarily features First-Class matches, typically four-day games, and has also included List A One-Day formats in recent seasons. The structure usually involves a round-robin league stage followed by a final knockout match, though some seasons have been decided solely by league standings. There is no formal promotion or relegation system; participation is based on franchise ownership or direct appointment by the Bangladesh Cricket Board.

South Zone is the most successful team with six titles. The current holder is East Zone, which won its maiden title. Notable records include Marshall Ayub's highest individual score of 289 and Liton Das's record 779 runs in a season. The competition is separate from the Bangladesh Premier League, which is the premier Twenty20 franchise league.
