Bangladesh Cricket League 2023/24

The Bangladesh Cricket League serves as the secondary tier of domestic cricket in the country, operating parallel to the premier National Cricket League. Inaugurated for the 2012–13 season, it is organized by the Bangladesh Cricket Board to concentrate top talent into four regional squads. This structure aims to raise the standard of domestic cricket by assembling players through a draft from the eight divisional teams that compete in the first-class tournament.

The competition features four zonal teams: Central Zone, South Zone, East Zone, and North Zone. Unlike independent franchises, these sides are not privately owned but represent their respective regions. The format typically involves a round-robin league stage followed by a final, though some seasons have been decided solely by league standings. South Zone is the most successful team, having won the first-class title multiple times.

Recent developments include the 2025–26 One-Day title won by Central Zone. The league also comprises a separate women's division. While the National Cricket League remains the top-tier first-class competition with eight teams, the Bangladesh Cricket League operates without promotion or relegation between the two. It stands apart from the Bangladesh Premier League, which is a private franchise-based T20 league. The tournament provides a platform for first-class and List A cricket, distinct from the primary national league.
