Bangladesh Cricket League One-Day 2022/23

The Bangladesh Cricket League One-Day (BCL 1-Day) is a List-A domestic cricket competition in Bangladesh. The event is administered by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and serves as the limited-overs counterpart to the first-class Bangladesh Cricket League. It operates as a national zonal tournament distinct from club-based leagues, featuring four composite regional sides: Central Zone, North Zone, South Zone, and East Zone. These teams are selected from players across the country's divisions rather than representing traditional private clubs.

The tournament was first held in the 2014–15 season, with East Zone winning the inaugural title, but remained irregular until its revival in the 2021–22 season. Since then, it has become an annual fixture with a standardized format. The competition consists of a round-robin league stage where each team plays every other team once, followed by a single final between the top two teams. This structure replaced earlier iterations that sometimes lacked finals, providing a clearer path to the championship.

There is no promotion or relegation system linking the BCL One-Day to other competitions. While it is recognized as a secondary tier to the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPDCL) in terms of historical prestige, it holds significant importance for the BCB's domestic development pathway. The DPDCL features private clubs based in Dhaka and is run by the Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis, whereas the BCL focuses on player development and national team selection through zonal representation. The two competitions run in parallel, with the BCL providing a platform for emerging talent.

In the modern era, Central Zone and North Zone are the most successful teams, each having won two titles. Central Zone is the current champion, having defeated North Zone in the final of the 2025–26 season. This competition fills a gap left by the discontinuation of the National Cricket League One-Day, offering a structured environment for domestic cricket in the country. Clubs do not participate; instead, regional zones compete for the national crown within this specific framework.
